Cloud Architect - M/F H/F


The Cloud Architect plays a critical role on a team to build and sustain relationships with key technical buyers to drive the adoption of our services to surpass our revenue goals. The is a high-impact, hands-on, visible role, responsible for ensuring the pervasive adoption of OVH cloud services.


  • Participate in and lead elements of the pre-sales process to understand customer business, technical objectives, and service requirements - ensure that proposals are technically sound and competitive
  • Deliver Statement of work to meet customer requirements, Project plan, project scoping, Communication plan
  • Manage projects of new installation, and migration of customer existing infrastructure to OVH infrastructure
  • Design solutions to meet the business/technical objectives in the pursuit of OVHcloud service adoption, with the support of Archiects
  • Deliver OVHcloud value proposition, strategy, and integrated vision aligned to Industry segments and business case scenarios
  • Work within a team to drive account planning with the customer vision, use case and outcomes, and customer issue management
  • Identify new customer projects for OVHcloud services
  • Deliver OVH vision, strategy and product roadmaps to executives and technical management
  • Mentor IT Architect, Systems Engineers and Support teams
  • Manage complex customer issues when escalated to ensure compliance with existing solutions (VMWare, Openstack, …) and OVHcloud recommendations
  • Participate in regional marketing events to promote OVHcloud Professional Services
  • Provide feedback to Product Management based on customer feedback
  • Maintain proficiency in OVHcloud service offerings, value propositions, and representative case studies
  • Obtain continuous feedback from the field, including customers, bringing IP back to corporate teams and making recommendations on future service offerings
  • On-board new customers and provide implementation guidance/assistance when needed


  • 10+ Years of experience in a technical capacity in Infrastructure
  • Minimum 5+ years business development experience in a consulting and/or professional services environment
  • 4+ years as a IT Engineer in a consulting environment, including time supporting sales and managing technical staff and implementations. Consideration for technology professionals working for the major players in the public cloud space.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud services - computing, IaaS, core infrastructure skills, including virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security (inc. firewalling, VPN), business continuity solutions, and enterprise applications
  • Experience of VMware's technology stack, opensource technologies highly desirable
  • Application design & development experience with Linux, UNIX (e.g. Solaris), Windows operating systems, Java, Java Script, Python, Mobile/UI frameworks would be an advantage
  • Understanding of modern IT production data center and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations including familiarity with modern converged infrastructure and hyper-converged infrastructure platforms
  • Experience in Project management, with Agile, PMI or Prince 2 methodology
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with a charismatic personality
  • Ability to collaborate and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task
  • Proven track record of selling services as part of a solution
  • Ability to see and present "the big picture" and position our services
  • Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
  • Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong listening and question-based selling skills
  • Ability to uncover business challenges and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges
  • B.S./B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent technical training (certifications in related technologies)
